This is a rare look into the people who started the Orignal Left Field Bleacher Bums. These are the fans who started the tradition of the throwing back the opposing teams home run balls. Philip K. Wrigley also paid for their trip to Atlanta in the summer of 1969. Ron Santo, Fergie Jenkins and other Cubs wearing the famous yellow helmets are indeed priceless. Ron Grousl was the first Bleacher Bum and Howard Herbon made the famous HIT THE BLEACHER BUM sign plus others seen in this video tribute.
