Peugeot 908 Le Mans 2008 Crash/Accident
Marc Gene has a huge crash at the pretest of the 2008 Le Mans whit he´s Peugeot 908 HDI. Actually he crashed whit incredible 270 km/h (168,75 m/h).
It looks a little like the Mercedes crash at Le Mans in 1999 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFN_Gp1eHN0 ), and Stephane Ortelli´s crash earlier this year( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOP4eLRA0xc ).

Marc was luckily unharmed after the crash.

Mazda 787B "The Legend" 4 rotor Le Mans car
why Legend?
1.The first (and only) Japanese manufacturer race car to win in Le Mans 24 hours endurance race in 1991.
2.the first (and only) overall victory for a car powered by a Wankel rotary engine.
3.After 1991, this car has been banned from entering Le Mans 24 hours race because FIA(Federation Internationalr de l'Automobile) outlawed the use of Wankel-type rotary engines in the racing series due to "unfair weight advantages"

1955 Le Mans Cras
The worst accident in motor racing history happened at the 1955 running of the 24 hours of Le Mans. A collision between a Mercedes and an Austin-Healy sent the Mercedes' engine, hood and steering assembly in to the crowd. Nearly 80 spectators died instantly.
