Katharine McPhee - Somewhere Over The Rainbow
Katharine McPhee is a very attractive young woman.
Now, it's just a hunch, but I think most of the heterosexual male population would agree.
She was great to look at and, in my opinion, had one of the greatest voices of the competition to date.
Sure she got some flack for bouncing around on her knees during 'Big Black Horse and the Cherry Tree,' or for giving America a quick glance at her underwear during 'I Have Nothing,' but she was excellent in every way, already making headlines before she'd even won the damn thing.
I thought 'Someone to Watch Over Me' would've been her top performance, but she proved she could go even farther by singing this song perfectly.
She's MILES ahead of Taylor... performances like THIS prove why.
We all hear about Elliot, Katharine, and Chris. Yet most of the time, I wonder:
Where did that Taylor guy go? What did he do with the title of 'American Idol'?
Where are those 'people' who voted for him, helped him win, then avoided his album (which sold poorly), his tour (which sold poorly), and everything else he made?
Where are his music videos? Awards? Where is his list of accomplishments?
I just don't get it.
And based on this performance, he deserved to go through?
Based on Elliott's performance, Taylor was 'better'?
I mean if you're a Taylor fan, please give me a reason as to why people like Katharine, Elliott, Chris , Paris, and even Melissa, failed.
